İhsan Demirtaş is a senior maintenance leader with more than 25 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry. Since joining Viking in 2009, he has progressed from Chief Electrician to Electrical Superintendent and now serves as Maintenance Manager.
He oversees maintenance and reliability across Viking’s drilling rigs, pulling units, and energy services equipment, ensuring high asset availability, operational efficiency, and strict safety compliance. Prior to Viking, he served as Chief Electrician at GYP (1999–2007), where he managed electrical maintenance and operations for drilling rigs and operational yard facilities.
İhsan brings deep technical expertise in power generation, Top Drive systems, VFD/SCR systems, PLC controls, and rig electrical systems. He holds an IECEx Certificate and an IADC Advanced Rig Equipment Inspection Certificate, demonstrating his competence in hazardous-area equipment and advanced rig inspection standards, and he holds a degree in Electrical Department from Malatya İnönü University and is currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration at Istanbul University.
